Are all books on reflection checked out?

February 21, 2009

If you are looking for books on reflection, a VERY popular topic, you might find that all the books from the Library are checked out.  Good news though!  We have a number of books full-text online for you to read through Netlibrary (www.netlibrary.com -login with Athens).  Titles on reflection include “Becoming a Reflective Practitioner: a Reflective and Holistic Approach to Clinical Nursing, Practice Development and Clinical Supervision”.  Remember, you can search for a title of a book, or search for a keyword in the title or full-text of a book.  You can save, print or read from the screen.

E-books in the Library

September 25, 2008

The Library has a number of books that you can read full-text online through NetLibrary.  To see what we have, go to www.netlibrary.com. It will go straight through if you are using the campus computers or network.  You will need to login with your Athens account off-campus.

To get you started, try searching for Reflective Practice as a keyword.  You will see a number of books that you can view online.  Only one person can view the book at a time, however.  If you get a message that the books is currently being used, just check back in about 20 minutes.

You can print a page at a time or save the material within copyright limitations.  You can also search through the text and also make comments or notes for yourself.

There are other electronic books in medicine, health and sociology through the Library.  Check on your Library Support Module in Blackboard for a more complete listing of e-books.
